Shopping In Facebook When The Weather Is Bad.

There were times when I just do not feel like going out for shopping. It’s either I’m chained to my lappie doing my work or I became lazy due to the hot scorching weather. Anyway, I found this outfit at a Facebook page by this user named Eyfa Sufi. Eyfa stocks a lot of stuffs and it’s pretty cheap, especially her clothes. This dress might just cost me $39.90 – $43.00 at a store in a local mall. But I got it at $29.00 :)

Initially I wanted black, but I got a call from Eyfa Sufi saying that it was out of stock. I was pretty disheartened. Anyway, I decided to just buy it since I don’t have much outfit in colours. The moment I received it in my mail, I was so happy! As for the shoes, I got it at New Look and it’s suede. I wanted size 6, but my husband thinks that my feet look good in size 5. It’s a bit tight, but i really hope it could expand. If it doesn’t, then he’s going to get me a new pair of shoes. ;)

I Did Not Disappear

Hey peeps, it's been 2 months since I update my posts. I've been very, very, very busy and now that I've been selected for my company's revamp project, I'm required to be involved in a lot of things, like makeup, styling and photoshoots.

I just got married and I will need to prepare for the customary wedding ceremony in February 2011. Busy, busy, busy... Oh guess what, my left eye was swollen and it hurt for 2 days. I looked like I was being punched because I didn't have enough sleep all due to projects... Anyway, I'm just going to share my wedding photos. In case you were wondering about my hair, I went for extensions just for my wedding. I woke up at 5.45 am just to do the makeup. I didn't have the time to do nails as well.

Got The Blues For You

I apologise to Nurse Zalina if my blog has been stagnant lately. Seriously, Nurse Zalina is a fan of Riot Apple and she stays tune to whatever I've been up to, according to a resource in the clinic. The reasons are:
1) I'm busy with wedding preparations
2) I'm building a portfolio for my career
3) My ankle was injured 2 weeks ago and it's healing now

Anyway, I regretted for not being able to snap a picture when a client came to me for make-up. I couldn't do it because I had to respect the photographer as this is HIS client, not mine... Anyway, i'll try to ask the management if they could request a picture from the photographer. Hehe...

This is a look for the summer and I did this recently on a date night. The lighting is not really good as I took the pictures using my camera phone.

33 dEgrees CelsiUs!

The weather has been really hot lately. I got this playsuit at a flea market near my residence and it was worth the find! There were few other colours available like pink, red, blue, yellow and green. It was all so pretty and I had to ask my good friend to choose one for me. He said I would look hot in red; however, green would be sweet for me as it goes well with my skin complexion. Voila! I took green in the end and I'm loving it. It was so lovely that the first time I wore it, my fiancee thinks that I looked like a grown-up woman in a little girl's clothes (awkward way) and he just refused to take pictures of me.

Anyway, I wore a long cardigan over it so I won't look too kiddy-ish. Turns out it looked more casual with my Harrod's bag and Ked's sneakers...

Thanks To The Weather...

I came across this beautiful advert of Chanel's perfume, Chance Eau de Tendre on a local fashion magazine and was so inspired to do this nail art! I know the lighting sucks... o_O

Don't you just love having a fruity popsicles on a hot day???

I need a holiday!!! It'll be so lovely to rock a pair of matching bikini with this design on my nails

This is super random. My colleague was playing Lady Gaga's Bad Romance on her phone the other day and I was so inspired to try this. The pink rhinestones were an idea from the Mac Vivaglam Lip Glass ad for Cyndi Luper & Lady Gaga.

There's so much changes in the workplace these days and it's getting much better. New clientele, system is running in order and we're back in business. Before I move on to another company, I have decided to contribute to the company I'm currently in so at least I won't have to regret for not doing this, or that. I'm doing this for myself. I wanna leave with a clear conscience. Like I did when I left Flair more than a year ago.

So, I'm working on my nail artworks and glad that the management wants to include make-up artistry as well :) I've included some of the pieces in this post. I apologise if I haven't been consistent with updating my posts... I was down with flu for more than a week. Thanks to the climate changes.

Old Is Gold

Today's outfit is really casual and I've worn this on one of my post before. However, I'm actually focusing on my accessories, also the trend that we're currently seeing now. Whoever says gold jewelries are worn by your typical Makcik Golden Chance (a term we call a Malay auntie who shows off her brightly shining gold jewelries; even when she's doing her groceries at the supermarket), shut your mouth and open your eyes wide. This season, gold is in the trend. Now, some of my friends may giggle at the idea of wearing yellow gold jewelries, and they would even dare to call me Makcik Golden Chance. It depends how you stack your shinies and it is not necessary for you to break your bank. Oh, don't you think it's gorgeous if you combine it with pearls? Swoons...

What's even unique is when you have vintage or heirloom pieces to spruce up the outfit. My mum's best friend got me the pearl necklace when I was about 5-6. I'm glad my mum kept it for me. On top of that, keep your make-up minimal for the day and strictly NO gold/bronzy eyeshadows; unless you wanna look like you've been touched by Midas. Please excuse me as I was in a rush, so I only had mascara and blusher. My lips? I used MAC Retro lipstick and I just can't get enough of the colour! It's a lovely weather out there, so let your GOLDIES shine!

Dress Your Nails For The Summer!

You can have a nail art on your two big toes if you like, and pinks are a must-have colour for the the season!

This metallic green from Misa nail lacquer will is my colleague's favourite. It might appear a little too dark, however, it's a great colour for that hot night at the beach bar. Think sexy tunes from Late Night Alumni :)

I love this combination at the moment. Initially, I couldn't think of any proper colour for the girl. Suddenly, I remembered ice creams, macaroons and cupcakes. It didn't took me long to grab the polish and paint it. I was inspired by Christian Louboutin suede maryjane so I created this. Don't you think it's such a pretty combo with sky blue, hot pink (OPI's D.C Cherry Blossom) and the gold glitter?

For those who prefer a simple yet chic look, there is no harm in having pastel blue polish alone. In case you're wondering what colour I painted, it's Glorious from Anne & Florio.

Lately, I have been busy with my wedding plans and I have been pretty tired to just sit in front of my lappie. Let me be honest with you. I haven't been taking much photos of my outfit lately because I was rushing out to work and mum hasn't been feeling too well so I wasn't in a mood to take any pictures. Mum had shingles and couldn't walk. It's pretty sad that my mum can't hold my solemnisation ceremony at all so I am holding a small gathering among my friends.

Anyway, I have few pictures taken and I'm loading. Dress your nails, ladies! Here are the colours I did for my colleague! Nudes are the rage for the season, however, if you wanna be more playful and adventurous, try opting for opaque, pastel colours! Not only they're cute, but they'll look delicious on your nails and make a statement with your outfit!

New Colours From OPI... Coming Soon To Salons Near You!

In May, OPI is going to have new colours! And guess what are their inspirations? It's Shrek's Forever And After series! Shrek has always been my favourite comedy and I never get sick and tired watching it. Apparently, this is the last sequel of Shrek. Brights By OPI comes up with gorgeous colours and this year, we've seen four colours, inspired from the movie Alice In Wonderland. Hey, OPI colours are getting very much interesting, huh? Look out for colours named Funky Donkey, What's With The Cattitude (obviously, it's Puss In Boots!), Rumple's Wiggin', Who The Shrek Are You?, Ogre The Top Blue and Fiercely Fiona! Great colours for the summer!

I'll be having a giveaway next week and stay tuned! The giveaway will consist of a gift bag of a nail accessories!

I Am A Junk Food Lover

The desserts are so yummy...

The wedding cake

I'm so famished!

The cafe I was talking about, Basement, after Cold Storage

Accessories to go with

This is the third time I ate at this small cafe at Siglap Centre. I had Curry Chicken sandwich with ice chocolate. The sandwich is fine and I requested a low fat milk and more chocolaty taste for my drink. Anyway, the deserts are so yummy!

I also included my outfit post here because I have not enough time or I would be too tired to have my picture taken. Cheers everyone!

What's In My Bag?

Hey everyone, I am pretty disturbed these few days each time when someone asks me what do I put in my bag that I carry shoulder bags most of the time, rather than a purse. To be honest, I do not fancy the idea of carrying a see-through patent bag because I like to remain discreet and, I do not like people staring at my bag in curiosity; especially when they see a clean panties or condom box. A woman's bag is usually in a mess...
